The 24th International Improvisation, Jazz and Global Music Festival "Riga Rhythms" will take place this year from 3 to 6 July. One of the stages will be located in the Fenikss Lounge at the Aston Hotel Riga.

The main concert venue will be the Riga Cathedral Garden, where the major concerts will take place on 4 and 5 July. The festival stages will also be located in the Noass Cultural Centre and the Riga Jazz Lounge at the Radisson Blu Latvija, while masterclasses led by guest artists will take place in the studio of Latvian Radio 1.

The main guest artists will perform in the Riga Cathedral Garden: Italian guitarist Antonio Forcione, Italian bandoneon player Daniele di Bonaventura with the Sinfonietta Rīga Chamber Orchestra, Cuban pianist Jorge Luis Pacheco and American singer José James; the Jersika Records label will present its artists at the Noass Cultural Centre, while the Riga Jazz Lounge and the Fenikss Lounge will offer concerts by other great Latvian artists, with the participation of international guests.

Riga Rhythms Music Festival is one of the leading improvisation, jazz and global music festivals in the Baltics, well-known in Europe and around the world. Every year, the festival stage in Riga brings together world-renowned and award-winning artists as well as new and unheard musical talents. For two and a half decades, Riga Rhythms has become an integral part of Latvia's cultural life, inscribing Riga's name in global and jazz music tourism guides. In recognition of its artistic programme and organisational quality, as well as its importance in the international scene, the European Festivals Association has again this year awarded Riga Ritmi the prestigious EFFE Label.

The festival is organised by the Contemporary Music Centre Foundation.
